WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF
MS FAMILY SUPPORT

MS FAMILY SUPPORT is an independent charity supporting all people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) in the Eastbourne and South Wealden area of the county of East Sussex. Through advocacy, information and working in partnership with the statutory sector, our aim is to see that a diagnosis of MS does not lead to exclusion from the wider community – both for the person with MS and their Carer.

We publish a monthly magazine ‘MILESTONES’ which is also available on line by clicking the link above. We work in partnership with our MS Nurse Specialist, Social Services, Care for the Carers and the local NHS. We are members of the South East Advocacy Network and also of Action4Advocacy. We are all volunteers and all have experience of MS or of Caring.

Even if you do not live in our area, we will always try to help you if you contact us using the ‘info@msfamilysupport’ link at the foot of each page.

WE ARE HERE TO SUPPORT YOU

Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail

Since 1972 the Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail, in East Sussex, has developed eight interesting walks over three working farms. One of the walks through Beatons Wood has been made suitable for wheelchair users. This is where you see white anemones followed by the vistas of bluebells, established over centuries. Throughout April and May, the owner of the woods John McCutcheon, invites selected charities to run the walk and provide the catering to visitors. Now in its 40th year, the walk has raised thousands of pounds for charities that take part. We had a really wonderful couple of days (12/13 April), despite a very wet spell throughout April we were blessed with two sunny days and an excellent crew of volunteers. The bluebells may not have been out for our two days but the many visitors enjoyed the walks and it was an excellent fundraising event as well as helping us to raise awareness of MS.
